Sin,—Your correspondent who says that he saw " W La Guerra " marked on the walls in Italy, and founds on it an accusation that the Italians are clamouring for war is quite wrong. Guerra (your correspondent seems to have imagined the word " La ") is the name of a competitor in the recent round-Italy cycle race, and if the writer of the letter which you published had been observant he would have seen that the names of other competitors were also chalked on walls and felines by their supporters in villages along the route of the race.---I am, Sir, your obedient servant,
