Reconciliation

Sir: Why does John Grigg advise the Tories to reconcile themselves with Mr Heath (19 June)? In nine years their former leader lost them three elections out of four. Surely the reconciliation should be with Mr Powell; who won the 1970 election for Mr Heath (as he won the 1974 election for Mr Wilson); who opposed Mr Heath over Inflation, Immigration, Ulster and the EEC, and has been proved right ; and who, in Mr Grigg's words is 'a leader who looks and sounds national'.
