IRELAND.

Mr. Drummond, Secretary to Lord Mulgrave, has addressed a letter to the Dublin Society, lamenting the refusal of the Society to correct several defects in its constitution, and intimating the probability that Government would consider it necessary to suspend the annual grant in consequence of this refusal. A meeting to take the subject of the letter into consideration was held a few days ago ; when, on the motion of Mr. Robert Hutton, it was resolved to insert the letter on the minutes, by a vote of 32 to 26 ; and a resolution was subsequently adopted, to the effect that the contents of the letter should be dis.. cussed, and the result communicated to the Lord.Lieutenant, on a future day.
