Like many books nominally intended for children, The Nursery- matograph

really for the lighter moments of grown-up people. This seems to us a device in the realms of humour hardly less cowardly than to drive women and children before one into battle. Why not acknowledge that grown-up people do have lighter moments

This is rather funny—but surely not to children ? The Nursery- matograph pictures are most amusing, but again—not to children.
