Mr. Smith and the Law

SIR,—Your readers will be grateful for the refreshing sanity of the articles on Rhodesia in your last issue.

The lawyers and the politicians have given tongue. The ordinary citizen may perhaps be forgiven if he regards the legalism that proclaims Mr. Smith a rebel as a preposterous abuse of the letter of the law.
