Compulsory Motor Insurance One of the most interesting of the

Bills contemplated by the Government is that for Compulsory Motor Insurance. The Bill would compel owners to insure against third-party risks. The object, of course, is to prevent the familiar injustice to owners who have their cars smashed by reckless drivers who cannot pay for the damage. The Minister of Transport has suggested that the penalty for driving uninsured should be a fine of 150, three years' imprisonment, and not less than a year's disqualification.
