Sir: The result of the General Election has disappointed nearly

everyone. To Put it no higher, our legislators are g. eing to be physically overworked. Isn't it time any recommendation to the Monarch for a dissolution within say the first four years of a parliament be by resolution of the House of Commons? Three miscalculations on the trot in the space of five years suggest that to leave the decision to one individual may be to exPect too much, and anyway the survival of such an autocratic privilege seems out of place in a democratic sYstem.
