At the London Sessions, on Monday, a private in the

Coldstream Guards was sentenced to imprisonment and hard labour for three months for striking at a constable with his bayonet, when drunk.

In the New Court, yesterday, twenty omnibus proprietors were found guilty of a conspiracy to injure a rival proprietor of omnibuses, and drive him off the road. They were sentenced to various fines, amount- ing together to 770/., which were paid at once by the cheque of one of the defendants.

Yesterday Henry Stanynought was tried in the Old Court, for the murder of his son, and was acquitted on the ground of his evident unsoundness of mind.
