CONSCRIPTS IN GERMANY
Snt,—Many will share the views expressed the other week in your article Conscripts in Germany. They will be interested to learn that at the recent Oxford Conference of the Incorporated Association of Prepara- tory Schools a resolution was carried deploring the use of young boys as garrison or occupation troops in foreign countries. I understand that copies of this resolution are being sent to various authorities. The I.A.P.S. is a comparatively small body, but someone must make a start. It may be that similar resolutions will be carried at other meetings ; the matter is so important that no conference, of men or women, need regard it as irrelevant to its proceedings.
