A comic opera in three acts, called La Statue, composed

by M. Ernest Reyer, has been produced with success at the Opera Conuque. The libretto is the joint work of the popular playwrights, Messrs. Michael Carre and Jules Barbier. Another new comic opera, pro- duced at the Theitre Lyrique, has been less fortunate. It is called Le Royal °ramie, and is the work of two aristocratic amateurs ; the libretto being by the Due de Massa, and the music by the Comte de Mesgrigny. It was nevertheless coldly received.—Another new piece is in rehearsal at the Opera Comique. The drama is by the well- known callaborateurs, Messrs. St. Georges and Leuven ; the music by Grisar, a composer who has gained reputation as the author of several successful operas of a light description.—No farther novelty at the Grand Opera is forthcoming this season; but it is expected that Felioien David's Herculanum will be revived.
