DYLAN THOMAS SIR,—Despite Mark Twain's remark, that a lie can

travel around the world before truth has time to get to the nearest corner, may I be allowed to record a fact, and this is the fact. That there arc dozens of people, both men and women (all with a bit of com- mon sense), who knew Dylan Thomas well, and who would agree with me when I say that he was no more a 'womaniser' than Adolf Hitler was a pacifist.
