ORTHODOX OR EASTERN ORTHODOX

(With apologies to the Rector of Brent Eleigh).

[To the Editor of THE SPECTATOR.] SIR,—I wish you would instruct your special correspondent to be more accurate in his description of the different churches. In a very interesting article on Jugoslavia and the concordat he writes of the Orthodox Church when he should write of the Eastern Orthodox Church. He surely must know that the churches of the West are part of the Orthodox Church. It gives such a wrong impression to be inaccurate. The right-believing or Orthodox Church cannot be restricted to the Greek - Russian - Rumanian - Syrian - Serbian - Bulgarian - Georgian-Albanian, &c. Church. . . .—Yours faithfully, ENGLISHMAN (NOT BRITON).
