Great Engravers. (W. Heinemann. 2s. Od.)—Mr. Hind has added two

more volumes to his series : John Raphael Smith and Watteau and Boucher. Both these volumes deal with engraved reproductions of pictures. The most charming things here are, perhaps, the sketches by Wattoau of figures which Boucher engraved, preserving their delicacy and grace. At the end of the Smith volume are given some mezzotints by other hands : one of these is of great interest—it is a study of clouds engraved in mezzotint by Turner. The plate was found with others after his death. Tho present example is from a proof pulled by Sir Seymour Haden.
