Although chemists very naturally dislike losing the monopoly they have enjoyed so long of selling poisons, they must realize that the situation has completely changed. The sale of poisons and disinfectants does not now call for the exercise of pharmaceutical skill, but can be conducted in exactly the same way as that of any other commodity.
