SIR,-1 did not dissent from the general point which Dr. Benson Perkins made, but merely held that it was not the right one. I do, however, dissent from his assumption in this particular matter. As a British citizen, and still more aS a Christian, however great my suspicions, I should not conclude that Dr. Benson Perkins was guilty of 'criminal lawlessness' unless it had been proved that he was so guilty in a court of law.
