MALE OR FEMALE?

Stk.—There is no mystery about Leslie Adrian's sex: Only a woman would have written the iqcent articles about electric shavers and nylon stockings, to give two examples, Only a woman could have said, in the article about We new multi-storey car garage in Oxford Street, that

the lavatory was comfortable: it is inconceivable that a Gents should be so described; moreover, no man in modern London would dare to admit openly that he knew of the existence of a public lavatory ! still less that he had been there; least of all that he liked being there—unless he really wanted to appear at Bow Street the next day.—Yours faithfully,
