IRELAND.

The Lord Chief Justice of the Court of Queen's Bench delivered judgment on Tuesday on the application on behalf of the Crown to quash the proceed- ings of the Coroner's inquest held on the bodies of the persons killed at Six- mile Bridge in an affray with the soldiers of the Thirty-first Regiment. He refused the rule, on the ground that there was no precedent, either in Eng- land or Ireland, for quashing the proceedings of a Coroner's inquest. He expressed no opinion on the merits of the finding, or upon the sufficiency or insufficiency of the evidence to sustain it. The Court was unanimous.
