The Final Solution

From another, personal, letter from America, I learn that Adlai Stevenson turned up at a party at Justice Goldberg's house the other day (neither of these men is known personally to me —1 drop the names simply because I picked them up from this letter) and was told that he had never looked better. He explained that after working at the United Nations for two years he had learned that there were no solutions to any problems, and this has taught him to relax. Does this come into the category of gallows humour?
