General SANTA ANNA has been' defeated by the'!e
troops, and has fled into Vera Cruz, where he iefl.ratifying himself in the expectation of a siege. In consequence ofthe civil war, the racket only brings 18,000 dollars; and few or• no letters from the City of Mexico have been received.
