Letters from Hamburg mention, that the disaffection of the King

of Prussia's Catholic subjects, especially in the Grand Dutchy of Posen, was becoming more formidable. A proclama- tion by the King assures the people of his resolution to protect their religious rights, and reproves the evil-minded persons who Lava produced discontent. Not trusting, however, to admonition and promises, the Prussian Government had marched large bodies of troops into the Grand Dutchy.
