On Thursday the Duke of York and Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon

were married at Westminster Abbey amid obvious signs of public satisfaction. The Duke of York is, of course, the President of the Industrial Welfare Society, and it is with the attempt to ameliorate industrial conditions that his name has been, since the War, chiefly associated. We hope that on his honey- moon he will take a well-earned rest from the arduous life of a modern "Prince. He will then return to his chosen branch of the innumerable duties that the Royal Family have made their own with such enthusiasm and such acknowledged success.
