The good people of Brussels have been indulging in Anti-Hay-

nau demonstrations, in emulation of Barclay and Perkins's dray. men. Haynau has been east aside by his Imperial master;. but perhaps, as he has been hooted for acts done while exercising a delegated authority from his Sovereign, the Austrian Government may show its teeth at little Belgium, though it only indulged in a growl at Great Biitain.

A commercial convention between France and Belgium has been concluded : it will not, however, be ratified till November, nor will the Belgian Chambers be convened for its ratification before October. A degree of mystery is affected as to the articles on which the convention bears ; but they are believed to embrace cot- ton manufactures, lean cattle, and books. The Belgian free-traders in piratical impressions of French books are in rather an irritable state of mind, fearing that their Government may not have been sufficiently pertinacious in protecting their honest industry.
