Hell Came to London. By Basil Woon. (Peter Davies. 65.)

Tins melodramatic account of the first fourteen days of Hitler's blitz on London is written by a film scenarist. It isn't easy to " write up " an aerial bombardment, but Mr. Woon succeeds in doing so. Men shake their fists at the sky, and the pages are liberally peppered with the word Hun. The marital atmosphere has the embarrassing intimacy of a Myrna Loy-William Powell film.
