For the first time, two Spectator contri- butors have been

honoured in the annual Granada What the Papers Say Awards. Last Friday Ferdinand Mount was made Columnist of the Year for his contributions to the Daily Telegraph and the Spectator. Nicholas Garland was made Cartoonist of the Year for his work in the Daily Tele- graph, the Independent and the Spectator.
