NEWS OF THE WEEK.

THE very latest news about Paris is contained in a telegram from General Walker to the Foreign Office, dated Friday, the words of which are :—" Jules Fevre returned yesterday to Paris, and will come back early to-day with an officer to settle the terms of capitulation. There has been no more fighting since midnight." This means, we presume, that a basis of negotiation for the surrender of the city had been agreed to.
