From several letters published in the tinily papers, it appears

that extreme distress again preveils in the Shetland !fiends. Pressing applications arc made to the managing committee in London for relief froin the fund subscribed last year for purpose; but it is said that the Committee have resolved to misappropriate the balance in their handa to the building of a school and hospital in the Highlands. Such is the charge which appeared in the illorning Chronicle several days ago; and, we believe, it remains unanswered.
