NEWS OF THE WEEK.
THE news from Corea is still vague and unsatisfactory. During the week there have been rumours of a fight between the Core= Palace Guards and the Japanese, and of the landing of Chinese troops, but nothing clearly authentic. All that can be said, is that war had not apparently broken out on Friday morning, and that no news is good news. Mean- time, the merchants in the China seas are taking precautions against war, and transferring steamers to the British flag.
