THE King, who spent the early part of the week at Windsor, arrived in town to hold his usual Levee at St. James's Palace, on Wednesday. The company at the Levee was but small, consisting principally of the 31inisters, Officers of the Household, and Foreign Ambassadors. His Majesty, attended by Sir Herbert Taylor, left town for Windsor About seven in the evening.

The Queen has suffered from a severe cold, but is now recovering. The Dutchess of Kent had a dinner-party on Wednesday, at Ken- sington Palace.
