BRITISH MUSEUM. Mr. BERNAL, on Monday, brought up the report of the Committee of Supply voting 16,0001. to the British Museum.

Mr. Comm strongly objected to the grant, on the ground that the Museum did no good at all to the majority of those who paid this money. He would ask, of what use in the wide world was the British Museum? It was only a place for loungers, and 16,0001. was too much to pay for it, . . . For his own part, he did not know whereabouts in London this British Museum was.
