INSCRIPTION FOR A WAR MEMORIAL. [To THE EDITOR OF THE

" SPECTATOR.")

Siit,—At the unveiling and dedication of a churchyard cross in pious memory of the men of Fylingdales who gave their lives in the war A.D. 1914-1918, which ceremony was performed by Major-General J. K. Trotter, K.C.B., this afternoon, I was struck with the simplicity and dignity of the inscription:— " Remember the love of them who came not home from the war."
