recently merle an attempt to foist upon the Magistrates at Ilertterd Mr. S. fIrovePrice as the Chairman of their Quarter-sessions ; but this was too much even for that Tory Magistracy; and the proposition, despite time previous strenuous exertions of the noble lord, was negatived by :r large majority.—Kent Herald.
