We are very glad to record the successful inauguration on

Friday week of the Serbian Society of Great Britain. The aims of the We are very glad to record the successful inauguration on Friday week of the Serbian Society of Great Britain. The aims of the Society are :-

" (1) To promote close relations with Serbia and with the Southern Slav raze as a whole.

(2) To make clear the importance of a united Southern Slav State ,as a permanent safeguard of European freedom. (3) To work for a friendly agreement between the Southern Slays, Italy, and Rumania.

(4) To work for Southern Slav union : (a) as an essential feature of the Allied policy of securing the rights and liberties of small peoples ; (b) as a guarantee against future Germanic attempts to obtain political and economic mastery in Europe and the East ; and (c) as the surest foundation of peace in the Adriatic and the Balkans.

(5) To co-operate with all kindred societies within and without the British commonwealth."
