" TRIONA " : A COINCIDENCE.

[To the Editor of the SPECTATOR.] SIR,—IS it not a curious coincidence that in the novel, Triona, which was reviewed in last week's issue, the hero marries under his nom de plume and does not disclose his name to his wife, while in Two Years Ago, by Charles Kingsley, Elsley Vavasour, the poet, does the same thing, and that in each case their real names are identical—namely, John Briggs ?
