Said and Done

Her mother said 'Do as I say not as he does Because I'm your mother I know what I'm saying If only you knew how I wish that I hadn't But he did and I did and nothing was doing And now what you're doing is coming to nothing Though he'd never say so believe what I tell you'.

She did and she didn't and so she asked father The reason why no one would give her the reason For what though it must have been once was no longer But all he would say was 'My darling ask mother And if when she tells you she knows what she's.doing Believe her as I did and we'll both be done for.'
