Sig.-Terence Bendixson's excellent suggestion (April 15) of building offices around courtyards with windowless walls (or possibly double-glazed win- dows) overlooking heavily trafficked streets needs to -be applied-to homes as Well as offices. Having lived in houses built alongside main roads. I know it i4 impossible to get a good night's rest in them. Let- us hope future developers will show some imagina- tion and that the system of building rows of houses alongside main roads is gone for ever.
