Sig.-May I suggest as a Whitsun present you should consider

the recording by Noel Rawsthorne on Liverpool Cathedral Organ in the HMV Cathedral Organ series?

This would: (a.) provide an excellent test for Mr Heath's stereo equipment; (b) provide some antidote to Mrs Shirley Williams's somewhat derogatory comment ('Albany and the organ') on page 427 (April 8).

Incidentally, it is also a very exciting record if you like the organ and believe, as I do, that a large organ should make a large noise!
