In the House of Commons on Thursday Mr. Asquith paid

an impressive tribute to the heroism of the Belgians, and moved an address expressing the thanks and the admiration of the House of Commons at the heroism displayed by the Belgian Army and nation. Mr. Bonar Law warmly endorsed Mr. Asquith's words. Earlier in the proceedings a foolish and futile scene was raised by a very foolish and futile person —Mr. Keir Hardie.
