accounts have been received front Montreal of a few days later date than those noticed last week. Little progress had been made in the trial of the prisoners ; and the dispute between Sir Joux COLBORNE and the Judges, who declared the suspension of the Habeas Corpus illegal, had not been adjusted. Both provinces were tranquil; notwithstanding reports of preparations for fresh attacks from the American frteeier. The Russian Consul at Boston made a journey to Mont:•.al, to remove his fluidly from that city, where they had been residing : he was arrested on the Attorney-General's warrant, t,s a suspected spy ; and his baggage was seized; but nothing having been di-covered to justify his arrest, Sir Jonx COLBORNE promised that the attorney-General should offer the Consul an apology.
