WORDSWORTH'S EPITAPHS.

[TO THE EDITOR OF THE "SPECTATOR."]

SIR,—In your article of last week on Wordsworth's prose works.: you quote a Latin epitaph, beginning, "0 nimium dilecta ! vocat Deus," as copied from the walls of one of our cathedrals. Per- haps you are not aware that this beautiful epitaph is actually from the pen of a Wordsworth, having been written by a nephew of the poet,—viz., the Rev. Charles Wordsworth, late Bishop of St. Andrew's. At the time of its composition he was Second Master of Winchester College. You may possibly think this. worth inserting in your journal.—I am, Sir, &c.,
