The Missing Million. By E. Harcourt Burrage. (Partridge and Co.)—Mr.

Osmond Paton leaves a million of money, which he bequeaths to his brothers at Quito, but the money cannot be found. There is a search ; and part of the search—if not for the treasure, at least for the man suspected of having handled it—is carried on in South America. Mr. Burrage appears to know something of this continent, and naturally we have to go there with him. His search is not wholly profit- less, for the man is found, but it has nothing to do with the find- ing of the treasure. The whole makes a capital story.
