Every Man's Cyc2opaedia. Edited by Arnold Villiers. (G. Routledge and

Sons. 3s. 6d. net.)—Here in an octavo of moderate size (eight inches by five and a half), with six hundred and forty- eight pages, we have universal biography, historical allusions, battles and sieges, a gazetteer of the world, general information, and dictionaries of law, words frequently misspelt, synonyms, abbrevia- tions, and pseudonyms. What more could one expect? A most useful book this, especially for those who are remote from a library.
