Risinghill School

SIR,—With regard to the London County Council and the Risinghill Comprehensive School: I have heard Mr. Duane lecture and have never forgotten his enthusiasm and obvious love for his job. We have too few teachers with such an attitude that we can afford to throw them out. As regards his religious teaching, what can an intelligent person do faced with the anomaly of our laws and the presence in the school of non-Christians, who also believe in their one true God?

Mr. Duane uses imagination and intelligence as well as his professional qualifications, to run his school. If London County Council turn such a man away from looking after our children then it is time to emigrate.
