Sonic disappointment was felt in the City this morning, when

it was found that the usual monthly average accounts of the Liabilities and Assets of the Bank of England had not been published in the Gazette of last night. We believe this is the first time it has ever been omitted in proper time ; and the occurrence at this particular moment is calcu- lated to raise unpleasant suspicions, as many persons will imagine that the accounts are too bad to publish.—Glohe.
