The report and accounts for 1929 show that the net new business for that year was £7,891,661, as against £8,148,370 for 1928. The premium income rose from £3,280,798 to £3,344,715, and the funds, which increased during the year by £2,151,440, now stand at £81,986,599. The level expense ratio was .49 lower at 14.16 per cent.
