We're full of Liffe

From Sir Brian Williamson Sir: Simon Jenkins (Books, 15 March) rightly praises Philip Ward-Jackson's book Public Sculpture of the City of London. However, Jenkins writes that the erection of the lifesize sculpture of a Liffe trader was then followed by the closure of a Liffe market. He is wrong. It is not true. The Exchange has gone from strength to strength, is running at record levels, and is now the largest electronic market in the world. Some closure.

Of course, the problem is how to find a sculptor to cast in bronze the Exchange's bank of Sun System F15K computers which whirr away day and night.
