Bathing

My great-great-9,randmother, when she Bathed, back in 1853, Of vice, and scandal much afraid, Avoided the Marine Parade, And, dragged in quaint' and creaking cart To some sequestered, quiet part Of Ocean, clad in yards of tulle Swam modestly in secret pool.

My mother, made of sterner stuff, Thinks one-piece costumes quiet enough, While sweet and dashing sister Anne Wears a bikini (when she can).

My younger brcither rather funks The water wearing bathing trunks.

BUT•I AT RISK OF SEEMING RUDE PREFER THE ALTOGETHER NUDE.

Thus simply clad, my dearest wish Is not to meet a jellyfish.
