Humanism

Sir: John Linklater says in his interesting article on the power of the voll (November 22) that will power is denied by humanists who see man as the sick molecular joke" and that human' ists "deny free will or the will to survive". May I just answer that this is 3 complete caricature of the views of most humanists, who would accept the existence of the will though they would not identify it with the "soul or spirit", and that it is unworthy of the rest of the article?
