Mr Heath

Sir: Mr Edward Heath is again showing signs of the latent paranoia which appeared from time to time when he was in office.

You may think it quite futile to compare his conduct with that of another former Premier, Sir Alec; for, despite his earlier employment on the staff of the Church Times, Mr Heath has never acquired that heartwarming virtue, a "forgiving spirit."

He may have managed to convince himself that he is always right; but it is at least arguable that had he made the right decisions in February of last year, we might not now be saddled with a Socialist government.
