The ifoniteur of yesterday published the following telegraphic an- nouncement

from Bucharest, dated the 25th instant. "Two Russian steamers, with eight gun-boats, forced the passage of the Danube on the 23d, and encountered a smart fire from the Turkish fort of Isaktchi, situate on the right bank of the river, between Reni and Ismail. The Russians had a Lieutenant-Colonel, three officers, and 12 sailors, killed, and about 60 wounded. They pretend to have set the fort of Isaktchi on fire."

An Austrian journal contradicts the report of hostilities.

A telegraphic despatch from Vienna, dated yesterday evening, says, "There is reason to believe that an armistice has been concluded between the Turkish and Russian armies."
