A Romanized Hindiistdni and English Dictionary. By Nathaniel Brice. (Tritbner

and Co.)—Some time ago the possibility of applying the Roman character to the Indian languages was much discussed. The practice has, however, gradually won its way, and its value may be gathered from the fact that this dictionary printed in the native cha- racter would occupy fear times the space. Mr. Brice has produced a very cheap, portable book, containing no less than 20,000 words. This new edition has been revised and new words added by economizing space. The idea is a thoroughly good one, and deserves the success it has met with.
